CROCKETT AND LITERARY TOURISM
From our inception a big part of The Galloway Raiders has been to get out into Crockett's landscape.  To that end, we have developed a number of 'trails' (real and virtual) since 2015. 
These include: 
'The Fact meets Fiction Virtual Tour'  (set around Castle Douglas)
‘Get On Your Bike’ The Sweetheart Trail (set around Glenkens)
Raiders Routes (Galloway wide)
Red Cart Trail (Glenkens) 
and our most ambitious project, in 2019, to commemorate the 160th anniversary: 
#GoCrocketteering which saw us pepper the Galloway countryside with 160  'quote' slates. 

We have trails suitable for walkers, cyclists and cars. There are also publications which will help you 'Discover Crockett's Galloway' for yourself.
