Samuel Rutherford Crockett (1859-1914)
Founded in 2014, this has been the home of the Galloway Raiders for the past decade. But, as Crockett himself observed, 'Time brings Changes'. From September 2025 while The Galloway Raiders site remains a legacy hub for Scotland’s forgotten bestseller we’ve now expanded our work by forming a charity dedicated to preserving and sharing Crockett’s legacy in new ways.
At the heart of this next chapter is the S.R. Crockett Online Museum—a space for exhibitions, archival letters, and literary storytelling. It’s a living project, shaped by the same spirit that’s guided the Raiders from the start. Currently in prototype, the full museum will launch on April 16th 2026.
